  2. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture without overmixing.
  6. Stir in the cooled apple cider and caramel bits until evenly distributed.
  7. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
