  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¾ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Add in egg and apple cider; mix until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, allspice, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just incorporated. Let dough rest for about 10 minutes.
