  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar or water
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Core and slice the apples (leave peels on) and place them in a slow cooker.
  2. Pour in the apple cider vinegar and add spices; stir to combine.
  3. Cover and cook on low heat for 5-6 hours until apples are soft.
  4. Use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth.
  5. Return the mixture to the slow cooker and cook uncovered on high for 1-2 hours until thickened.
  6. Cool before transferring to airtight containers for storage.
