  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese (at room temperature)
  • ¼ cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line an 8 x 8 baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until combined. Mix this into the dry ingredients until just blended.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Stir in orange food coloring.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Add dollops of the cream cheese mixture on top, followed by the remaining brownie batter. Swirl gently with a knife.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes or until set in the center. Cool before cutting into squares.
